Will my child's eczema get better or go away?
Eczema is a fluctuating condition, which means that it can be under control for some time and then suddenly flare-up. Unfortunately there is no cure for eczema, but treatment can help to make periods of remission last for as long as possible and help flare-ups to be as mild as possible – you can find out more in our treatment section. The good news is that three quarters of children grow out of eczema by the time they are in their teens.
In the meantime, your child will need lots of care and support and this website, with zones for different ages, has been developed to help:
Under 5s can make jungle friends and have jungle fun
Under 12s can have a blast as they journey into space
Each of our children's zones contains lots of interactive fun and useful tools to help your child manage their eczema.
